Getting to the Mull of Galloway

If asking to a loved one nicely to drop you off at the Mull of Galloway didn't work, then S
tranraer has a train station linking with Glasgow. Local buses from Stranraer will take you to the village of Drummore, and then hitching a lift from the village will take you down to the Mull of Galloway about a further 5 miles away. Otherwise a taxi from Stranraer Train Station to the Mull of Galloway Lighthouse will get you there quicker. Rome2Rio can help you plan your journey from anywhere in the world to the Mull of Galloway.

Leaving Dunnet Head

If you are determined to walk North to South with the weather in your face and sun in your eyes, then you can plan your journey there too with Rome2Rio. But with the Mull of Galloway being within easier reach of larger towns and cities you should only want to leave Dunnet Head. Again this can be done using local taxis, hitching a lift or catching the local bus taking you to Thurso, where you can get trains and buses to other larger towns and cities in the North of the country like Inverness with train stations and national bus links.

Links to local bus and train timetables for both the start and end of the TipTaeTip are available here, as they tend to work out much cheaper than taxis.
